During an evening at Epcot, you’ll be sure to find me dining at Le Cellier Steakhouse. With their charming cozy feel, Le Cellier was the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of Epcot, and ofcourse Florida rain. During our honeymoon, we tried a variety of restaurants we’ve never tried before or haven’t tried in a long time. Le Cellier was on this list.
When we arrived we had to wait an extra 45 minutes than our reservation time, which was no problem because we decided to catch a glimpse of O Canada! 🇨🇦 while we waited. Once we got to our table we we’re so excited to try all the favorites we had heard so many great things about. Our waiter was extraordinary and gave us spectacular service throughout the evening.
We started off with the bread service and soup, dipping the pretzel bread into the cheddar soup was delicious, I couldn’t get enough! Then came out our poutine, followed by my Icewine flight. If you’ve never heard of poutine, it basically is frenchfries with a cheese, truffle and wine reduction. The poutine was good, but at that point we felt like if we ate it all, we would be too full for our meal! The icewine flight was amazing. I don’t usually drink wine, and am not a fan of white wines but these were amazing. I’m looking online after I finish writing this to see if I can have some shipped to my home! They all had a very fruity sweet flavor.
Our next course was our main. I opted for the filet minion, medium. It was cooked to perfection, very easy to cut and melts in your mouth. The mashed potatoes that accompanied it were very good, thin whipped mashed potatoes. It did have a bit of a flavor to it but not too much flavor. To compare it to the filet at Yachtsman, I wouldn’t say it’s better than Yachtsman, probably around the same.
And ofcourse, a meal is not complete without a signature dessert! So we decided to go for the maple donuts and coffee mousse. Yum! Is the only way to describe it.
Make sure you go with an appetite when your going to dine at Le Cellier. Remember, it’s 2 points on the dining plan and reservations for good times fill up rather quickly, so be sure to book in advance. Enjoy!
