Let me just start by saying — This is my favorite place to eat lunch in all of Disney World, so I hope you all like it as much as I do! It’s a great calm atmosphere that will take you away from all of the hustle and bustle of the park while getting to see some of my favorite Disney characters!
Crystal Palace is located off of Main Street in Magic Kingdom near Casey’s Corner. Every time we go, we end up checking in a little early and sitting outside the restaurant to relax with a beautiful view of the castle.
Crystal Palace is an all you can eat buffet style restaurant that is well worth your money, or a meal on the Disney Dining Plan. We recommend that you make reservations ahead of time. We have always gone for Lunch at Crystal Palace because its a great way to cool off in the air conditioning and have a refreshing glass or two of their sweet tea while you wait for Pooh and friends to come to your table.
Tip: Make sure you have your camera charged and ready to go for when the characters come around, you may want to bounce with tigger! Remember, the cast members are always their to help, don’t hesitate to kindly ask them to take a picture if you want to get everyone in the picture!
The buffet is amazing! Every time we go we try something new, but there are a few must haves… first, head over to the kids table (it’s okay… adults can eat from here too!!) and grab some Mac and Cheese. I think that this is the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had! To this day, I still can’t find a better mac and cheese!
As you walk through the buffet you will see all different options, meats, veggies, salads, desserts. You’re bound to find something for everyone.
The best part about buffet dining is that its at your own pace, if you have a fast pass to get to… you can eat quick and get out of their as soon as you need to. Or if you want to relax you can take your time and fill up your plate as much as you want.
Disney buffets are typically a little on the expensive side ($34/per person for lunch) if you aren’t doing the Disney Dining Plan, but remember – you’re paying for the time with the characters. These characters aren’t commonly found throughout the parks, so its a great opportunity to see Pooh and friends. You get to see Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger while being in the air conditioning. The characters are very active and you get to spend a good amount of time with them, the more fun your having, the longer they’ll stick around for those priceless moments!
We give this a double thumbs up, you’ll find us there on our next trip… this time we will be trying out their Dinner Buffet! We can’t wait to share a review on the dinner buffet after our next Disney Adventure!
